Tempurpedic pillows are a little tricky because you can’t get Tempurpedic material wet or it will ruin it. Your best bet is to remove the cover and wash that like normal, then sprinkle baking soda over the pillow itself and let it sit for a day. Don’t get it wet! After a day you can vacuum up any extra baking powder and that will help neutralize any odors and soak up any moisture.

1. USE A SCALE AND MAKE NOTE OF THE DRY WEIGHT OF THE PILLOW (OPTIONAL).
2. PLACE PILLOW IN TOP-LOADING WASHER.
3. FILL WASHER AND ADD 2 CUPS BLEACH AND OTHER DETERGENT AS DESIRED WITH LESS THAN ONE MINUTE AGITATION IN WASHER.
4. SOAK PILLOW (AND OTHER WHITES) WITH LID OPEN. (GENTLY FORCE THE ENTIRE PILLOW UNDER THE WATER BY SETTING A BIG HEAVY PLASTIC THING ON IT – LIKE A MOSTLY FULL BLEACH CONTAINER.)
5. SET UP AN ABSORBENT, CLEAN, DRY, ELEVATED AND/OR WELL-DRAINED DRYING LOCATION. A PLASTIC RECYCLING BOX (THE SAME SIZE AS THE PILLOW) TURNED UPSIDE DOWN WITH A TOWEL LAID OVER IT IS A GOOD PLACE TO START THE DRYING PROCESS.
6. WHEN THE PILLOW IS WHITE ENOUGH (AFTER SOAKING 12-48 HOURS), MOVE THE LAUNDRY CYCLE DIAL TO DRAIN & SPIN DRY.
7. THEN FILL WASHER TUB AGAIN WITH RINSE WATER AND FOLLOW UP WITH MINIMAL AGITATION OR (OPTIONAL) AGITATION BY HAND USING A PLASTIC TIPPED HANDLE.
8. MOVE THE LAUNDRY CYCLE DIAL TO DRAIN AND SPIN DRY.
9. SET PILLOW OUT TO DRY, BUT DON’T PUT THE PILLOW ON ANYTHING WHICH MIGHT RUST OR GET MOLDY OR CAUSE THE PILLOW TO BECOME DIRTY. TURN AS DESIRED DURING DRYING PROCESS.
10. AFTER THE PILLOW RELEASES EXCESS MOISTURE, LEAVE PILLOW FOR SEVERAL WEEKS NEAR A DEHUMIDIFIER OR A WARM SUNNY WINDOW BEFORE USING AGAIN.
11. IF NEEDED, USE A SCALE TO CHECK IF WATER HAS EVAPORATED BY COMPARING WEIGHT WITH IDENTICAL DRY PILLOW.
